Final Fantasy VII first came out on January 31, 1997 for PlayStation and Windows. It’s a role-playing game developed by Square and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation and by Eidos Interactive for Windows. The player follows a group of resistance fighters known as Avalanche as they battle against the mega-corporation Shinra, which is draining the planet’s life energy for power.

It is the seventh main installment in the series and the first game in the series to be released for the PlayStation and Windows. “Final Fantasy VII” was also the first game in the series to use 3D computer graphics and pre-rendered backgrounds.
