World of Warcraft: Cataclysm was the third expansion pack for the original World of Warcraft. It was the successor of Wrath of the Lich King and the predecessor of Mists of Pandaria.

When did Cataclysm came out?

Cataclysm first came out on December 7, 2010 worldwide.

What’s new?

The third expansion of World of Warcraft gave us many new things:

New maximum level

The maximum level was raised from 80 to 85.

New races

The Goblins joined the Horde and the Worgen joined the Alliance. Additionally the existing classes were made available to more races.

A whole new … wait, what?

The third expansion pack was an attempt to make the classic content more interesting. Many classic zones were rebuild and new zones were added.

The cataclysm brought you many new things:

  • 6 Zones
  • 14 Dungeons
  • 6 Raids
  • 3 Battlefields
  • and other things like the transmogrification system, void storages and the raid browser
